You know how people are always like, “Well, that’s so me; I’m a Taurus.” How everyone always hates on Geminis and thinks Capricorns are sociopaths? Your Zodiac sign may say a lot about who you are, but what about how you sleep? You’re missing personality predictions for almost a third of your life.
Regardless of whether or not you actually believe in the power of star signs, most of us find horoscopes a fun and light activity. So let’s see what the Zodiac signs have to say about the your sleep style and nighttime routines –
Aquarius (20 January – 18 February)
Due to their anxious nature, this sign tends to have trouble falling asleep. They’ll lay down at night and plan the next day in their head, make mental lists, worry about how people feel about them – anything but counting sheep.
Loud snoring, tossing and turning, and intense dreams are the typical sleep stats for Aquarians.
Pisces (19 February – 20 March)
One of the more spiritually-oriented signs, Pisceans love to sleep and dream and sleep some more. They likely won’t have trouble falling asleep, but they also are definitely not morning people.
This star sign’s sleep is characterized by vivid, message-oriented dreams, the need for more sleep than most others, and the use of sleep as an escape to a private world.
Aries (21 March – 19 April)
We all have a hard-working Arian in our life. Driven and enthusiastic, their strong personality traits are tinged by paranoia, which means it’s often difficult for them to fall asleep. This Zodiac sign also has particular trouble sleeping in warm places.
6 hours on average, early nights, and earlier mornings are common features of the Arian sleep style.
Taurus (20 April – 20 May)
Among other things, Tauruses tend to be vain. Sorry; it’s true. This love of beautiful things translates into the bedroom; this star sign needs a classy, clean bedroom to sleep well. But when they do get to sleep, it’s difficult to wake them up.
This sign loves to sleep. A lot. All the time.
Gemini (21 May – 20 June)
This star sign does not like to sit still. They are fascinated by everything and everyone, and they love to discuss it. When it comes to bedtime, this translates pretty directly. Geminis often have trouble getting to sleep and sleeping soundly because there’s always something running through their mind.
Geminis typically don’t keep a consistent sleep schedule, going to bed at all hours and waking up 3 to 12 hours later.
Cancer (21 June – 22 July)
This Zodiac sign tends to be very emotional and sometimes moody. So, their sleep is sort of the same. They tend to need more sleep than most, but depending on where their head’s at, they might not be able to get it.
10 hours on average and trouble sleeping in unfamiliar places are typical of Cancers.
Leo (23 July – 22 August)
This star sign is particularly fond of the day star; the sun energizes them, and this translates to their sleep style, too. Leos tend to keep consistent, healthy sleep schedules that change along with the daylight changes of the seasons. One caveat – they need a clean room free of stress and clutter.
Leos love to cuddle, and they also love super-cozy blankets. But then again, who doesn’t?
Virgo (23 August – 22 September)
Virgos are known for being smart, but they also worry. A lot. Which means they have trouble getting to sleep, and often just as much trouble getting sleep that actually feels restful. However poor the sleep, though, they tend to be in bed for a consistent 8 to 9 hours per night.
Tossing and turning, waking up often in the night are common things that plague Virgos.
Libra (23 September – 22 October)
Everybody knows a Libra. They’re super-chill, with very balanced personalities. They’re empaths, and can often weigh different points of view in a conflict. When it comes to bedtime – surprise – they’re very chill and balanced. We wouldn’t say they’re lazy, but if they don’t get enough sleep at night, they make sure to make up for it throughout the day.
Libras go to sleep early, love naps, and don’t have nightmares, due to their relaxed nature.
Scorpio (23 October – 21 November)
This sign tends to have a particularly hard time sleeping, because their personality in general is… particularly difficult. These odd ducks may or may not be prone to circadian rhythm disorders; they’re full of energy at night and lethargic during the day.
Scorpios have a lot of sleepless nights, which means during the day they seem pretty lazy, but it’s just because they’re tired.
Sagittarius (22 November – 21 December)
Arguably the most curious of the Zodiac signs, Sagittarius has a hard time winding down and going to sleep at a decent time. Anticipation or worry can take an 8-hour night down to just 1 or 2, and when they’re stressed they often have nightmares.
7 hours average of restless, light sleep is typical for a Sagittarius.
Capricorn (22 December – 19 January)
Capricorns are high-stress, high-risk, schedule-oriented and task-driven people. That sentence in itself can make you sleepless, and this overzealous sign is just that. Since they run high-strung, stress can cause insomnia. However, when they do sleep, it tends to be early-to-bed, early-to-rise style.
This sign needs a spacious, peaceful bedroom and 9-10 hours of sleep per night, which is as difficult for them as it is for their partner, who has to deal with their snoring.
